A Letter From Our President

Hello and welcome to Alpha Phi at UNC! My name is Mary Lloyd Callicutt and I have the amazing honor to serve as President of the Kappa Alpha chapter of Alpha Phi. Thank you for taking the time to visit our website and find out what life as an Alpha Phi is all about. Running home to Alpha Phi three years ago, I never envisioned myself in this position. However, that speaks to how encouraging and supporting this chapter truly is. These women have cultivated an environment for me that pushes me past my limits, helps me learn more about myself and my strengths, teaches me the importance of genuine relationships, and ultimately inspires me to be the best version of myself. Between the constant support, dedication to community service, excellence in academics, and so much more, the Kappa Alpha chapter has shaped my collegiate experience to be so much more than I could have ever imagined. As cliche as it is, I have been able to find a home at 219 E Rosemary St.
Improvement of character, practices of generosity, lifelong sisterhood, and continued innovation are just a few ideals we strive to cultivate. Activities ranging from our annual Red Dress Gala (my personal favorite) to yoga classes at local studios enable all members to find their home within the Chapel Hill Community. College can be daunting, but within Alpha Phi, there is a place for everyone! Alumnae, sisters, and future potential new members, please reach out to me with any questions or concerns. I'd love to chat 🙂 and as always, AOE.
