The Alpha Phi Foundation and Women's Heart Health
Incorporated in 1956, Alpha Phi Foundation is one of the oldest women’s fraternal foundations. Its primary philanthropic goals are supporting women’s heart health and developing women as leaders. The Foundation awards funds for programs that advance leadership development, encourage academic excellence, improve women’s heart health, support sisters in need and educate about the value of philanthropy. The Foundation is a non-profit organization supported by contributions from individual members, collegiate and alumnae chapters, corporations, and friends. It is well known and respected internationally as a prominent philanthropic leader in the Greek community, with Alpha Phi chapters raising hundreds of thousands of dollars annually. Each chapter raises funds for the Foundation through popular campus events.
When Alpha Phi collegiate chapters raise money for the Alpha Phi Foundation, they don’t just raise funds to advance the work of the Foundation, they aim to heighten awareness of women’s heart health through a variety of creative and innovative activities. Whether it’s a formal Red Dress Gala or an exhilarating Alpha Phifa tournament, Alpha Phi educates with heart. With the help of development professionals on staff at the Foundation, collegiate chapters are able to establish their own active philanthropic initiatives.
